A family owned business

We are proud to say that we are a family owned and operated garden planter business located in Vancouver, Canada.

Eight years ago, my wife asked me to make some cedar raised garden beds for our back patio.  Being the handy guy I am, I said sure, no problem.  This was the start of our journey. 

This first year was a big learning curve (especially without a truck)!  I would go to different processing mills to find great deals to make our first cedar planters. The Ford Flex definitely got a workout.

Learning journey

I quickly realized this wasn’t the answer and moved up to ordering products by truck.  We started with small flat decks and worked out of the triple garage in the house.  We didn’t have a forklift, so we talked all the local kids into coming out and helping in exchange for a Slurpee run!  It was amazing how everyone came over to help!

Our achievement

Onward from the garage, we have made a couple of quick moves!  We first split our production between our three-car garage and a 2,500-square-foot processing facility.  The production facility would make the panels and cut them to size.  The garage would do all the assembly and arrange pickups or delivery. Our cedar raised garden beds business caters to both pickups and delivery. 

From there, we moved into our newest and current facility, located on the Langley/Abbotsford border.  It is 4,000 square feet allowing us to put all the production under one roof and making our business much more efficient!  We are still adjusting to having so much room, but we will manage!

We are proud of where we have come from and where we are now!  It has been a lot of work, but the future couldn’t look so bright!

    Everyone should have the ability to grow their own garden.  We came up with the idea of our 24″ high cedar planter box to make them accessible to all! We have red and yellow cedar wood and also multiple sizes. You can check our cedar-raised garden beds here.
